End of the story!
----original posting----
This is a dog's papilloma (wart). It is a common growth of young dogs and is caused by a virus(papilloma virus). It is benign(not malignant) and as such does not represent a threat to his health and need not be biopsied, although they are unsightly. Sometimes they can become quite numerous and frequently are found in the mouth, on the tongue , etc. If he was very cooperative I may be able to remove it under local anesthesia, but it would more likely require general sedation based on its location as they tend to move their heads a lot when we try to cut and suture there as opposed to say a growth on the back. Exam , general sedation and surgical removal would be about $275, although this would not include a pre-anesthetic blood test ($88), which we would recommend to minimize risk should you want it.

This picture below was taken about a month ago, it's obvious wart has grown since:

After researching available treatments for dog's warts we decided to go with natural medication and placed order - http://www.forces-of-nature.net/topics/warts/Dog_Wart_Removal.htm -- link goes to: http://forcesofnature-shop.net/index.php?cPath=23
We ordered: "Warts NM Xtreme Strength 33ml" and "Immunoboost for Warts 500ml". Looking forward to receiving this product and treat Antosha's big wart on his leap !!
